Hardy Amies Sunglasses Are Finally Here

hardyamies copy.jpg
It’s been a long time coming but last year Hardy Amies finally debuted an eyewear collection to accompany their unique tailoring; and now they’ve launched a sunglasses range too, hoorah. Summer dressing for those with strict sartorial needs may have just been met.
For the man who looks “as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care and then forgotten all about them” (as Amies would have all his customers do), the frames offer a suitably contemporary take on retro themes. Paying reference to the 20s, 30s and 40s the sunnies come in a range of styles and colours, primarily staying neutral with tortoiseshell and light horn amongst them. The latter can be seen in our choice pair above, so called Ada.

This year marks the momentous 75th anniversary since the American label made its very first style of sunglasses – a style that was intended more for function than fashion and, like most of Ray-Ban's creations, has lasted the test of time.
